Job Description

Our Home, a leading plant-based snacking company in the food and beverage industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Manufacturing to join our executive team. As the VP of Manufacturing, you will have a key leadership role in overseeing our manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence across our facilities. This role is located in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast United States, ensuring high efficiency, productivity, and quality standards.

As the VP of Manufacturing, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency and product quality. You will lead a team of talented professionals and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize our manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing manufacturing leadership team, providing mentorship and guidance to enhance performance and employee engagement.
  • Design, implement, and share a vision for high level strategic plans to enhance manufacturing operations and meet company objectives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement with a demonstrated emphasis on operational excellence and driving Lean methodologies across the organization.
  • Manage the implementation/conversion of ERP, CMMS, and OEE systems in coordination with the corporate teams
  • Lead capital projects to enhance and grow the capabilities of the manufacturing plants.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in manufacturing processes, familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, SQF, and BRC is essential.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to execute company-wide manufacturing initiatives in safety, quality, engineering and productivity.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed operational metrics.
  • Continuously identify and implement best practices and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Food Science, or related field highly desired
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in food manufacturing, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of food production operations and quality principles.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives at an executive level.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse manufacturing team.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel 50%- 80%.
