Iowa's economy is built on some of the most productive agricultural land on earth. John Deere, though headquartered in nearby Moline, Illinois, has deep Iowa roots and operates major manufacturing and parts distribution facilities throughout the state. Deere's presence — alongside CNH Industrial, AGCO, and a web of smaller agricultural equipment manufacturers — makes Iowa a center of the global farm machinery industry.
