Title: Account Manager

Duration - Fixed -term contract till December 2025

The Metabolic Account Manager (AM) will be responsible for launching and managing the business for Lilly’s new incretin treatment in key accounts within their territory. AMs will lead on local account planning across priority accounts in primary care, hospitals, and private market. They will use accounts and customer insight to develop and execute a local account strategy to maximize business potential using a range of engagement channels, aligned with overall brand strategy. The AMs will have the ownership of volume growth and sales in their territory and will be accountable for identifying and maximizing the most valuable opportunities to their customers, healthcare system and business.

From launch it will be essential for the AMs to work closely with the cross-functional team to use data driven insights and tailored strategies utilizing innovative educational programs and promotional concepts to drive uptake.

Key Objectives / Deliverables:

Territory Management:

  • Define, prepare, and implement a territory business plan, based on a clear understanding of customer insights and priorities. The AM will lead the development of cross-functional and focused account plans.

  • Drive new patients starts and volume growth to exceed sales plans through a disciplined implementation of brand strategy and continues improvement in sales force productivity.

  • Support HCPs by continuing to develop / grow key capabilities in line with the Lilly strategy for building lasting customer relationships.

  • Demonstrates a clear and thorough understanding of the disease state(s) and its impact on customers and patients including the full range of treatment options available including a detailed knowledge of both Lilly`s and competitor products.

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all promoted Lilly`s approved clinical studies and the skill to engage customers (prescribers, support staff etc.) with fair balance on proper placement within the treatment continuum.

  • Excellent partnership with local Marketing, Medical, and key Head Office colleagues to ensure good teamwork and support of the customer base, leading to optimum business achievement.

  • Demonstration of high integrity and compliance at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Passionate about driving volume growth uptake of medicines that will improve patient lives.

  • Desire to be the best in a highly competitive environment with a winning mindset where opportunities are bigger than obstacles.

  • Thrive in a high paste environment where individual performance is being measured and analyzed or proven track record in identifying and converting business gaps into growth opportunities.

  • Excellent communication skills, presentation skills and stakeholder management skills.

  • Being a team player to build strong internal/external relationships and manage a range of local stakeholders.

  • Demonstration of key capabilities such as call selling skills, key account management and business planning.

  • Strong evidence of personal accountability and flexibility

  • Ability to sell a broad portfolio of products across a variety of disease indications.

  • Proven track record in pharmaceutical sales.

  • Driving license.

Additional Preferences:

  • Diabetes or obesity experience

  • Experience of working with pharmacies, private and public health care market sector

  • Experience from B2B account-based selling

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree required.

  • Minimum two (3) years of experience working in one or more of the following areas preferred: pharmaceutical, healthcare, sales, consulting.
