Role Overview:
We seek an Accounts Payable Manager to join our scaling Finance team. This individual will be instrumental in driving and leading change in Accounts Payable (AP), while reporting directly to the Director, Accounting. This role will lead our AP function and is responsible for ensuring invoices are paid timely and in compliance with company policies. This position is expected to have in-depth knowledge of the accounts payable function and to ensure continuous improvement of the AP function at the Company.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and perform the day-to-day operations of Accounts Payable including invoice management, payment processing and 1099 filings
- Own the Travel and Expense function, including policy compliance, corporate credit cards, and expense processing
- Develop and maintain AP internal controls and policies, and build scalable processes for a growing company
- Assist with the month-end close by reconciling the AP-related general ledger accounts, identify and resolve variances, and preparing balance sheet flux analysis
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of the Vendor master file for classification of vendor payments for 1099 reporting
- Ensure internal and external inquiries related to AP operations are addressed timely and accurately, including audit requests
- Assist with ad-hoc requests or projects
Requirements
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive AP experience
- Strong and in-depth understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes
- Experience with NetSuite preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and exceptionally organized
- Excellent teamwork skills
