American Plastics, a private equity-backed leading injection molded plastics manufacturer specializing in Retail Storage, Janitorial, Food Service and Cleaning products is looking for an ambitious Benefit Advisor to join our team. We are hiring two positions.

Location: One will reside as a hybrid near Findlay, OH and the other may be remote.

General/Benefits Support:

  • Manage day to day benefits administration, including but not limited to: medical, dental, spending accounts, disability, leave of absence, enrollment changes, and terminations for benefits and 401(k).
  • Serve as an additional point of contact in education of our benefit programs and nuances and possesses a full understanding of all available benefits for employees. Assist employees with questions regarding enrollment or changes to current benefit selections.
  • Help members as it relates to submission of the Health Reimbursement Arrangements.
  • Develop annual communication and onsite support calendar for Company locations to enhance the awareness/support of the suite of benefits offered to employees. Including but not limited to: Webinars, Meetings, Health Fairs, Challenges, etc.
  • Support the Director of Benefits with creating and auditing benefit carrier invoices against actual headcount and membership. Work with Accounts Payable to ensure payments are routed to all carriers and tracked.
  • ·Assist HR site contacts to conduct new hire enrollment meetings with new employees, assures that forms and processes continue to be functional and useful. Manage the proper administration of qualifying events stemming from employee requests.

Open Enrollment:

  • Assist in detailed audit of final sold rates uploaded into Paylocity. Complete testing of users by scenarios and benefit class. Launch efforts and co-create information/communication through various mediums – HRIS blasts, company emails, presentation recordings to the Company, etc. and uploads/maintains documents and resources on the benefits site on Sharepoint. Assist Director of Benefits in the creation and distribution of Open Enrollment booklets, flyers and other materials to employees via employee meetings, etc.
  • Support in the annual Spending Account Open Enrollment that renews in January each year.
  • Assist in extensive data audits and updates after each OE has closed to ensure that OE data will flow over correctly in payroll for the first payroll date after OE for all locations.

Leave Management:

  • Support the Director of Benefits in leave compliance and tracking and work with all site HR managers to coordinate and review ADA requests, report ADA requests that require legal input/advice from outside counsel.
  • rack Premium repayment processing for leave participants and notify Director of Benefits if COBRA needs to be initiated.

System Management:

  • Manage, develop and maintain HRIS system, Paylocity as it pertains to Benefits related information. Audit data entry. Monitor automated systems and generate reports.
  • Assist Director of Benefits in government reporting and regulatory compliance (5500 filings, CMS Disclosures, etc). Generate reports, respond to vendor data requests.
  • Maintain partnerships with site Human Resources team to stay current on newly hired employees and terminations, to assist with accurate reporting to corporate payroll.

Travel Estimate: 25-50% (Outside of Ohio)

Requirements
  • Ability to maintain confidential employee medical and pay information and meet highest security standards due to HIPAA & PHI regulations
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of benefits experience ranging from medical to disability insurance coverages, etc.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Knowledge of Paylocity a plus or other HRIS experience
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to maintain multiple projects
  • Possesses a high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
