This is a remote position from Colombia, where you will be working for our global teams. We are a remote-friendly company, meaning you can work from your home whenever you want and of course at our office in Medellin. It’s up to you! Additionally, you can work from any location you want within the Americas for up to 4 weeks at a time for a maximum of 12 weeks in a year. This is a full-time position.
What this role looks like:
As our Billing & Collections Specialist, you will be optimizing financial operations and ensuring timely payments, playing a crucial role in managing our billing processes, collections, and driving efficiency in financial operations
You are part of a diverse and international Finance team where you manage the financial aspects of a business playing a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of the organization, focusing on the billing process to our clients and ensuring the right timely collection of payments.
Some of your key tasks as a Billing & Collections Specialist:
Execute the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing
Act as the primary point of contact for billing-related queries and concerns.
Follow up on overdue payments and implement collection strategies to recover outstanding balances.
Communicate with customers regarding payment status and resolve any disputes or concerns they may have.
Implement and maintain effective collections strategies to minimize outstanding payments.
Collaborate with Customer Success, Operations, and other relevant teams to streamline communication and processes.
Proactively address and collaborate with other departments about customer inquiries related to billing, fostering positive relationships.
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate billing and collections processes for increased efficiency.
Requirements
What you will bring to the team:
Recently graduated with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
6 months to 1+ years of experience in billing and collections, preferably in a tech or SaaS environment.
Familiarity with billing software. Experience with Billing Platforms, preferably Netsuite and/or Stripe, would be a plus.
Proven track record in optimizing billing and collections processes.
Positive energy, adaptability, and a fast learner, thriving in a dynamic work environment.
Strong analytical and technical skills with a focus on billing and financial operations
Interested in Finance Automation and excited for the potential of AI in this domain
Fluent in both Spanish and English [must have]; additional languages are advantageous.
