Client Advisor - Global Client Group (GCG) - Trade Credit

  • You will be working for Marsh’s Global Clients Group business across the Credit Specialty insurance business to support the Client Executive in the acquisition, placement, daily service and renewal of our global Trade Credit clients.

We will count on you to:

  • Understand the client’s business issues, credit insurance programs and service plans.
  • Identify the client’s trade credit needs and objectives.
  • Conduct client business meetings (with and without underwriters) under instruction from Client Executive.
  • Liaise with the various divisions within Marsh to provide client service solutions.
  • Understand the Trade Credit insurance market and underwriter offerings.
  • Participate in new business initiatives when requested.
  • Strives to deliver best practise, market leading service and solutions.
  • Manage the acquisition and renewal process as well as non-renewal services.
  • Act as a first point of contact within service team for day-to-day insurance queries, be proactive in servicing, and anticipate any issues at an early stage.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • 5 years of relevant insurance experience in the trade credit field, with an understanding of the Client’s business issues, credit insurance programs and service plans.
  • Prior exposure to multinational programs preferable. From a trade credit broker, brokerage or trade credit underwriter background.
  • Preferably in a client-facing role working closely with underwriters, preparing presentations, negotiating terms with insurers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant insurers, third party service providers and their products and services, and an awareness of competitors. Understanding of competitor capabilities, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ability to understand the client’s industry sector, the key risks associated with their industry, and develop a rapport with decision makers.
  • Attained minimum Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent. ANZIIF or ACII will be an advantage.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and all relevant Marsh business applications.
