Job Description

Communication and Marketing Intern

Internet2 is seeking a Part Time paid intern to support cloud services and programs. This internship opportunity is designed to provide practical experience in various aspects of communication and marketing, focusing on content creation, data analysis, and visual storytelling. As part of Internet2’s NET+ Cloud Services team, the intern will help create engaging content to encourage the adoption and utilization of cloud services and help to build and maintain vibrant communities of practice around the services to help research and higher education institutions manage risk and maximize opportunity by working together.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting and editing blog posts, reports, and other content related to cloud services and technology.

  • Conduct research and data analysis to support content creation and marketing initiatives.

  • Interview subject matter experts to develop content.

  • Develop engaging infographics, visualizations, and other visual assets to enhance communication materials.

  • Participate in the ideation and planning of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

  • Assist with proofreading, fact-checking, and quality assurance of marketing materials.

  • Perform other communication and marketing-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor's, or master's degree program in communication, marketing, or a related field

  • General knowledge of cloud services and technology (preferred)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (preferred)

  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Schedule and Compensation:

  • This is a paid internship position, the hourly rate is $20.00 per hour.

  • Maximum of 10 hours per week during the academic semester.

  • Flexible schedule to accommodate classes and other commitments.

  • Opportunity for remote work or a hybrid arrangement in Washington, DC.
