About the Position

The Implementation Manager / Corporate Operations Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, leading and executing successful site launches across a network. The position will closely work with cross-functional teams to oversee areas such as the strategic placement of all new site personnel, labor coordination, material deployment and planning, KPI achievement, inventory integrity, continuous improvement, and ensuring all Kenco established network parameters are implemented at the site. This position will also serve as the champion for Kenco by fostering a world-class partnership experience for the client, associates, and all other stakeholders. In this role, you will partner with team members to define, launch, and drive strategic and operational initiatives with key functions across the organization and with our partners. The Implementation Manager will also support in the recovery of operations post site launch, as needed. This role will assist network leadership in day-to-day operations throughout the network to ensure the highest levels of efficiency, quality, and customer service are met.

Functions

  • Leads operational activities for site launches to include partnering with internal and external cross-functional teams to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Oversees the effective onboarding and management of all site personnel to ensure compliance with defined operating systems, corporate policy and site standard operating procedures, personnel policies and workload leveling.
  • Conduct site visits, with considerable time on the GEMBA, utilizing Leaders Storyboard and lean assessment tools while encouraging the use of Lean principles around SOP’s, standard work, 5S, kaizen and employee engagement.
  • Executes against site launch implementation plans and strategies by partnering with and leading all relevant stakeholders.
  • Use Lean Six Sigma tools to make decisions and improve operational efficiency.
  • Champion support of corporate initiatives and training by developing collaborative working relationships with all functional business partners in Sales & Marketing, HR, IT, Finance, Risk Management, Best Practices and Real Estate.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains site level protocols and initiatives that may be transferable across the Network.
  • Change management – performs organizational and change assessments to ready the project team and plan for the expected impact of the proposed changes
  • Maintain all safety, operations, quality, financial, legal, and regulatory functions executed at the site, and supports across the Network as needed.
  • Develop long-term planning and strategic initiatives for the launch site location to ensure continued success and satisfactory relationship with customers.
  • Responsible for site metrics associated with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Business Improvement Plans, Efficiency Programs, and Profit and Loss (P&L) indices, subsequent data analysis to develop reports for interpretation and communication for the customers, and all site personnel.
  • Ensures communication and feedback for all sites and customer relations, including management review.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to all site management and personnel in support of bench strength to ensure sustainability of the business and facility.
  • Responsible for supporting a healthy and effective “Lean Culture” participating in and leading 5S, Gemba walks, A3’s, Kaizen events, Employee Suggestion Boards, etc. daily, weekly, or as necessary to promote continuous improvement to the benefit of our customers at all sites.
  • Analysis of operations on a continuing basis to make necessary improvements to ensure cross functional operating efficiencies at all warehouse locations. Analyzes throughput information, capacity planning, flow through and financial information.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope or schedule and assess the impact on budgets, business processes and other initiatives
  • Be a highly visible leader and coach, spending considerable time with associates on the floor and with local and corporate leadership teams.
  • Create a culture of accountability within assigned leadership team by implementing operational goals and objectives, monitoring results and requiring corrective action plans.
  • Be Safety oriented, embracing a commitment to implement prescribed safety programs leading to the safety of all associates under the purview of assigned operations.
  • Position will drive Bench Strength through leadership-based principles, growth/development initiatives, and cross functionality training.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope or schedule and assess the impact on budgets, business processes and other initiatives
  • Ensures communication and feedback for all sites and customer relations, including management review.
  • Support development and execution of Vertical Strategic Plan.
  • Support the operation team leaders with reviews and/or presentations.
  • Build a strong relationship with Customers. Understand Customers’ strategic goals and ability to translate those to site specific goals at each site location.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college required; M.B.A. preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Supply Chain Management required; preference given to candidates with 10+ years’ supply chain management expertise.
  • Experience with labor/workforce management systems (i.e. SAP, Red Prairie, High Jump, etc.) highly desired.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment; demonstrated ability to work effectively under stress and pressure; ability to manage multiple projects and meet specific goals and deadlines.
  • Highly proficient in necessary computer applications (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
