Job Description

We are seeking a Culture & Change Specialist with a keen interest in leading the people aspect of M&A integrations. The role would suit a seasoned HR Business Partner or HR Projects expert with knowledge across employee relations, culture and change fields.

The role works alongside a fellow C&C specialist within our growing transformation team, with new and exciting challenges and varied projects. We are looking for natural problem solvers who are comfortable taking initiative and passionate about transformative change.

Applicants will be accepted from Victoria, New South Wales or Tasmania. This role will require frequent travel to Respect sites, including temporary relocation for short-term periods.

The role of Culture and Change Management Specialist is pivotal in executing our strategic vision and ensuring the successful integration of new acquisitions into our portfolio.

You will play a critical role in driving positive organisational change, cultivating an inclusive work environment, and spearheading the implementation of essential systems and processes across our recently acquired sites. Your expertise in HR, ER, and IR will be instrumental in facilitating seamless transitions and fostering the cultural alignment necessary for our continued success.

The Position:

This Culture and Change Management Specialist requires a proactive and strategic mindset, along with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor and resource for employees and management, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organisation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of people related functions and compliance to identify existing gaps or areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights for the analysis.
  • Develop comprehensive reports outlining the identified gaps and recommended solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance and support with workplace relations matters and processes.
  • Create and implement strategies and initiatives to address the identified gaps and enhance the people and culture function at the newly acquired site.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of these strategies.
  • Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to ensure a successful transformation.
  • Implement people related policies, systems and structures.
  • Facilitate training and awareness initiatives specific to each site.
  • Consult with staff regarding the implementation of Respect's site structure, roster structure and ways of working.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including union representatives, as required.
  • Develop and deliver engaging workshops and training sessions on people related changes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create effective communication channels for sharing information, updates, and promoting a positive culture.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure consistent messaging and employee engagement.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in Human Resources, Change Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in organisational transformation and/or change management.
  • Strong understanding and experience navigating workplace relations matters.
  • Ability to regularly travel to Respect sites, including temporary relocation for fixed-term periods.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and understanding of residential aged care, home care and retirement living industry.
  • Experience in delivering workshops and training sessions is highly desirable.
