About the role
We have an opportunity for a Data Analyst as part of the People and Culture team. The role is responsible for extracting, transforming, and critically analysing HR related data & information to draw meaningful insights that contribute to workforce recommendations, intelligence, and reports relating to the strategic utilisation of human resources & other issues impacting the workforce. The role is required to assist in the development of dashboards, reports, models, and options relating to contemporary workforce related issues to inform strategic decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources using data manipulation tools.
- Conduct in-depth statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights within the data.
- Develop and maintain standardised reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as attrition, lost time injury rate, and workforce composition.
- Create ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested by the head office team.
- Help in the selection and implementation of a HRIS system.
- Providing administrative support with the Administration Team when required to meet business objectives.
- Evaluate business processes and financials to help identify where areas of improvement can be made with a focus on operational and financial improvement.
- Develop automated reporting formats to suit business needs.
- Develop visualisations to run Dashboard reporting.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders to provide updates and address financial concerns.
- Compiling and preparing data to be used in the tender process and other business projects.
Requirements
Role Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar business analyst role
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of breaking complex issues into actionable steps and delivering practical solutions.
- Advanced Microsoft 365; specifically, MS Excel and MS Access (Pivot tables, formulas, macros, data modelling)
- Knowledge of Power BI is desirable.
- Excellent presentation skills for summarising, visualising data.
- A customer-centric approach, emphasising research and data analysis to create user-focused experiences while leading and coaching others.
- Hands-on team player, comfortable working across functions and wearing multiple hats to support team and business success.
- Proficient in data analysis, capable of translating insights into decisions, and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced analytical & problem solving skills.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
