About the Role

Tecsys Inc. is seeking a motivated Developer to join our performance and scalability support team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of development experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and some front-end development experience. As a Software Developer in a support role, you will be the bridge between our development team and end-users, ensuring that our applications are running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving issues.
  • Develop and maintain front-end code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application and platform issues.
  • Create and update documentation related to troubleshooting processes.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall code quality.
  • Assist in the testing and deployment of software updates.
  • Monitor application performance and implement optimizations as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with users and team members to understand issues and provide timely solutions.
  • Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure their needs are being met.
  • Work closely with support teams to provide seamless assistance and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy learning new technologies and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of development experience with a strong background in troubleshooting.
  • Some experience in front-end development with proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in a technical support role.
  • Proficiency in database management systems, including generic SQL knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Adept in software integration and deployment tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
