Job Description

The Director of Sales Enablement is a key leadership position with the Exterro Sales team. The role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance sales productivity and effectiveness. This position involves collaborating with sales, marketing, and product teams to create training programs, tools and resources that will enable our Sales team to achieve their targets. The candidate must have prior enterprise software sales experience. The responsibilities may include designing playbooks, developing and conducting training sessions and partnering across the company to identify areas of improvement. The Sales Enablement Director will play a crucial role in aligning sales strategies with overall business objectives and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs primarily to the Customer Success and Sales teams to enhance skills, product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Design curriculum, conduct workshops and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance and achieve sales targets.
  • Create annual SKO agenda and sessions
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and tailor training accordingly.
  • Ability to assess the impact of the Sales training efforts tied to KPIs including conversion rates, customer satisfaction and employee retention/feedback.
  • Own the on and offboarding for new hires including a structured system and process trainings for new hires and documentation on properly offboarding employees.
  • Track certification and training progress for the sales team and create a reward program to drive excitement and friendly competition for achievement
  • Drive adoption of good sales habits with shout outs or other recognition
  • Meet with leaders across the company to consistently assess training and stakeholder partnership between Sales and other teams.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 7-10+ years of enterprise software sales experience in a sales readiness/learning & development/cross-functional role.
  • Experience in a sales trainer role.
  • Managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships to shape the team’s vision and roadmap, effectively execute projects/day-to-day responsibilities, and scale operational processes that creates cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with business partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with presentation and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
