Graphic Designer

Education Perfect is an EdTech platform designed to empower educators and amplify their impact in the classroom. We aim to enable teachers to personalise learning at scale with a range of powerful learning, assessment, and insights tools, helping them and their students reach their full potential.

Are you a Graphic illustrator and designer with a background in Sciences? We are looking for contract designers to create beautiful, accurate and consistent graphics to demonstrate Scientific concepts to connect senior high-school students with Science knowledge.

We are currently working on Science lessons for Years 11 and 12 in Queensland, Australia.

As a contract Graphic Designer you will respond to graphics requests to enhance our online lessons. For this project, there will be a focus on Scientific graphics as well as processes and diagrams. We will provide a style guide, Illustrator templates, access to stock imagery and some reusable assets. You will be creating graphics using Adobe Illustrator and uploading them to the Education Perfect platform.

This is an independent contractor arrangement, starting late September until early November.

What you will do

• Create Science-specific graphics based on specific requests.
• Commit to a certain number of lesson requests each week.
• Work closely with the design team to ensure high quality and consistent output.
• Track your progress using Jira.
• Clearly communicate any barriers or blockers to reaching your targets.

What we are looking for

• Experience creating Scientifically accurate illustrations using Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience using a content management system to load, resize and display images.
• A good understanding of slide layouts and composition for image layouts.
• The ability to work quickly and accurately to respond to specific image requests.
• Track and manage your work using project management software (Jira).
• Highly adaptable and agile approach, with the ability to deliver quality results.
• Nice to have: knowledge and experience with Senior Biology, understanding of WCAG accessibility standards for images
• Available at short notice for a contract assignment.
