As Marqeta’s GTM Senior Staff Recruiter, you will lead challenging searches, typically focused on Sales and broader GTM positions up to and inclusive of VP level positions. You will directly partner with our Chief Revenue Officer and their leadership team. You will collaborate with multiple business groups and executives and will represent recruiting in large initiatives where you will influence strategic improvements.

What You’ll Do

  • Work on significant and unique requisitions, leaning into challenging searches and business groups, typically focused on sales and broader GTM positions up to and inclusive of VP level positions
  • Deliver against individual sourcing and hiring targets, in addition seniority, complexity and aspirational diversity of hires.
  • Own multiple cross-team projects/programs, representing recruiting in large initiatives with potential impact on the entire function.
  • Seamlessly navigate and move nimbly across different hiring challenges in ambiguous scenarios.
  • Influence and drive recruiting strategy initiatives, regularly assess and optimize recruitment processes, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Manage cross-functional partnerships with varied groups and senior leaders, anticipating and addressing business needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years’ experience in full life-cycle sales and GTM recruiting
  • Experience in executive-level recruiting with a primary focus on sales and GTM
  • Demonstrated experience in executing high levels of productivity
  • Ability to autonomously drive and own complex projects/programs
  • Strong communication, adaptability, resilience and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring
  • Demonstrated experience driving sourcing and recruitment strategies as well as process and tool optimization
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing targeted diversity recruitment strategies, promoting diverse candidate sourcing channels, and ensuring bias-free assessments of candidates
  • Ability to stand as a proxy for the Recruiting Director

Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience in the FinTech or Payments space
  • Familiarity with international hiring, ideally expertise related to hiring in EMEA.

Compensation and Benefits

Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:

  • National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
  • Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
  • Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position is:

  • National: $124,650 - $166,200
  • Premium: $140,250- $187,000
  • Premium Plus: $155,850- $207,800
