Job Description:

The DCX Home-Based Junior Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist assists in data gathering, development, and consolidation of annual and mid-year budgets and forecasts in collaboration with cost center managers. Key responsibilities include supporting near- and long-term P&L forecasting, aiding in financial budget/forecast revisions focusing on cost reduction, and preparing and processing monthly budgets to actual review reports for cost center managers. The role involves consolidating feedback and addressing concerns from cost center managers, preparing management reports related to monthly variance analysis, and assisting in preparing weekly and 12-month rolling cash forecasts. The Junior FP&A Specialist supports financial reviews, presentations, and discussions with cost center managers and senior leadership and conducts ad hoc financial analysis, including modeling for strategic decision support.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Budget Review: Preparing and processing cost center managers' monthly budget to actual review reports.

  • Budget Management: Assisting in data gathering, developing, and consolidating annual and mid-year budgets and forecasts, collaborating with cost center managers.

  • Budget Feedback: Consolidating cost center managers' feedback and responding to concerns/queries as needed.

  • Profit & Loss Forecast: Supporting the near- and long-term P&L forecast. Providing additional support in preparing weekly and 12-month rolling cash forecasts. Assisting in preparing short- and long-range projections by utilizing forecasting and financial analytic techniques to assess the impact of budget/forecast initiatives on cost centers.

  • Variance Analysis: Conducting variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures. Assisting in preparing management reports related to monthly variance reports and other components of the monthly financial package.

  • Cost Reduction: Aiding with ongoing regular financial budget/forecast reviews and revisions focusing on cost reduction. Participating in revenue and cost forecasting, analyzing the economic implications of operational drivers, and recommending actions based on findings.

  • Administrative Assistance: Supporting the FP&A team in conducting financial reviews, presentations, and discussions with cost center managers and senior leadership.

  • Performs tasks analogous to the preceding.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, financial management, or a related field.

  • Experience: Must have one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis or equivalent.

  • Language Proficiency: Strong verbal, written, and English communication skills. 

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in most Microsoft Office Applications, databases, and accounting software.

  • Industry-Specific Software/Knowledge:  

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.

  • Knowledgeable using accounting software and tools, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other relevant software.

  • In-depth understanding of US and PH accounting principles and standards. Knowledge of data and financial modeling is a plus.

  • Previous working experience as an offshore staff is highly advantageous.

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Being a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a plus but not required.

Role Details

  • Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (CST)

  • Workdays: Monday - Friday (USA)

  • Salary package: PHP 65,000.00 - 80,000.00
