Job Description

The Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation (SGBFF) works to build a more equal and resilient world. We bring people together to support each other through four initiatives: LeanIn.Org, LeanInGirls.Org, OptionB.Org, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program.
We're looking for a proactive and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Account Management team and support the growth of our flagship program Lean In Circles for Companies.
The SDR will play a crucial role in growing our sales pipeline by identifying potential companies, initiating conversations, and nurturing leads at Fortune 500 (or equivalent) companies for our Account Managers to convert to our programs.In addition, this role will support the end-to-end sales process for some of our smaller Circles partners. This will involve discovery calls, pitching, operationalizing the Circles launch, and presenting at kick-off meetings and training events, to launch the Circles program.

What You Will Do

  • Research and identify potential companies through various channels, including but not limited to, LinkedIn, Hubspot, etc.
  • Initiate contact with decision-makers via email and LinkedIn messages to introduce our programs and gauge interest.
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria, ensuring alignment with Lean In's target company profile.
  • Schedule appointments and demos for Account Managers with qualified leads, ensuring a smooth handover of information and context.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress in HubSpot.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle for new company leads: from pitching prospects to providing hands-on account management support to launch and grow Circles – to deliver against annual growth targets.
  • As required, host in-house kick-off events and trainings for companies in your portfolio
  • Maintain accurate records of company engagement in HubSpot.

What You Will Bring

  • Up to 2 years of demonstrated work experience in an SDR or Business Development role
  • Track record of being able to identify and engage prospects through cold outreach
  • Experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Strong relationship management skills; ability to build relationships quickly
  • Highly organized and able to manage your schedule around the tasks that are key for your success in this role (email outreach, calls, and meetings)
  • Ability to learn quickly and build a deep understanding of our product and DEI solutions
  • Experience using a CRM platform to manage your pipeline is a must (Hubspot is a bonus)
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), comfortable presenting in front of large groups and inspiring people to take action
  • Shared appreciation for and commitment to the mission and work of Lean In, Lean In Girls, Option B, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program
  • Commitment to being a strong advocate for equity, inclusion, and uplifting marginalized voices

What We Will Offer You

  • The base salary range for this role varies depending on a candidate’s location which is categorized into one of two bands. National Band: $54,000-$61,000. Bay Area/New York Metro Band: $60,000-$68,000.
  • The actual base salary within the applicable market range may also vary depending on the candidate's qualifications, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Important Information

  • This is a full-time, time-limited, exempt position with an anticipated end date of 12/31/2024.
  • While we are a remote-first organization and work schedules are flexible, team-wide meetings are often held between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm Pacific Time.
  • The selected individual must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
