Department Overview:
The SMPH Facilities Services team is located in the Health Sciences Learning Center (750 Highland Avenue) with a mailroom located in the Wisconsin Institute for Medical Research (1111 Highland Avenue) and a second mailroom located at the Medical Sciences Center (1300 University Avenue).Anticipated Start Date:

Our business hours are Monday to Friday 8:00-4:00pm. Closed on legal holidays.Schedule is flexible depending on class/exam schedules, but we are looking for students that can start their shifts in the morning between 8-10am. Friday availability is a plus.
Students will be assigned to either the Wisconsin Institute for Medical Research (WIMR) or the Medical Sciences Center (MSC) based on operational need.

- Currently enrolled in an educational institution.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Position Summary/Job Duties:
- Completes mail processing and distribution-related duties for incoming and outgoing mail according to best practice to ensure timely receipt and quality handling of incoming and outgoing U.S. and institutional mail.
- Completes mail shipment and delivery transactions under direct. supervision according to customer specifications and in conjunction with established pickup and delivery schedules, rules, and regulations.
- Investigates and troubleshoots lost or misdirected mail items
- Processes notifications to appropriate entities to relay delivery status and provide excellent customer service.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
