About the role

Sidebar has a strong product market fit and we are rapidly growing our member base. We are seeking a curious and scrappy Marketing Analyst to join our team. Your role will be to help achieve Sidebar’s customer acquisition goals by understanding what marketing and growth initiatives are working, which are not, and how we can be more effective in driving growth for Sidebar. You’ll analyze campaigns, channels, conversion funnels and retention rates to help inform our go to market and customer acquisition strategies.

This role is an ideal opportunity for business analysts who want to apply their skills to help fuel growth who have worked on growth, customer acquisition or marketing teams in the past, and are looking for hands-on experience to grow their skills in growth, user acquisition and across digital marketing channels.

As a Marketing Analyst, you’ll…

  • Gather, analyze and interpret marketing data across campaigns, channels and marketing and growth initiatives

  • Develop user acquisition and growth marketing forecasts across user acquisition, campaign spend, and expected return on investment

  • Assess new opportunities based on expected outcomes, customer acquisition cost and return on investment

  • Analyze conversion funnel performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion and customer success rates

  • Develop an understanding of the Sidebar customer base, valuable user segments and opportunities to grow these audiences

  • Help understand customer acquisition cost, lifetime value and payback analysis to ensure marketing budget objectives are met

About you

You’ll thrive as a/an Marketing Analyst, if you have/are:

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, business or related field.

  • 3+ years experience working in marketing/growth/business analysis

  • Strong SQL skills with an ability to answer business questions through database queries (This role requires passing a SQL loop in the interview process)

  • Experience with analytical and BI tools such as R, SPSS, Looker, Preset, Mode, Google Analytics, etc.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, spreadsheets and data manipulation, presentation

  • Excellent research, analytical, and data interpretation skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand format.

  • A builder, passionate about helping people do their best work.

  • A natural connector and love community-based products and experiences.

  • Highly driven and independent, with the ability to communicate effectively, confidently, and succinctly.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, rigorous environment with changing priorities and get excited to innovate and collaborate with others, and experiment with new ideas.
