Job Description

TechFlow, Inc. is seeking a talented and experienced New Product Integration (NPI) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and integration of new products within our Digital Services team. In this pivotal role, we require a highly skilled NPI Engineer who can effectively facilitate the integration of advanced hardware and software components within airport security screening environments at airports in the United States and government test facilities.

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in solving complex technological problems, possessing extensive experience in advanced networking and computing, and demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be technologically inclined, naturally curious, have a continuous learning mindset, and thrive in positions that involve solving intricate problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between our team, technology partners, stakeholders, and the customer, fostering effective communication and collaborative relationships for successful project execution.
  • Develop and implement integration plans for advanced networking and computing products, ensuring optimal functionality, cybersecurity, operations, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration challenges related to program and operational milestones.
  • Conduct thorough testing of integrated components in airport and government test facilities to guarantee performance, cybersecurity, and system/network reliability.
  • Interface with the customer and partners for training, standard operational procedure development and refinement, as well as operations and maintenance issues.
  • Provide responsive technical and service-related support to the TSA, coordinating closely with our service team, engineering teams, and local stakeholders to resolve escalated issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product integration, preferably within the transportation security industry or a related high-tech field
  • Advanced knowledge in Linux system administration, experience with versions such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc. server environments.
  • Proficiency in advanced networking concepts, including network design, network switches, hardware addressing, and computer networking.
  • A deep understanding of IP networking, both IPv4 and IPv6 as well as an understanding of modern networking technologies and concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices such as encryption, VPNs, as well as standards for a government network environment.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware and a high level of computer literacy.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), such as designing complex control systems or troubleshooting hardware and software PLC issues.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of cutting-edge Transportation Security Equipment from various manufacturers.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, with the ability to multitask in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship-building, collaboration with stakeholders, project scope management, listening, and questioning abilities.
  • Be able to obtain a Secret Clearance from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and pass a Public Trust background investigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • Advanced networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
  • Prior experience in an airport or transportation security screening equipment technologies
  • Previous experience with open architecture systems for the US Government
