The Ireland Outsourcing Manager will primarily be responsible for the day to day supervision of all services sourced to Coinbase Ireland from other global entities. This includes administering and overseeing all aspects of the Outsourcing Framework, implementing and operationalising processes and governance (e.g. SLAs and reporting) and ensuring complete documentation. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detailed oriented leader who will leverage their experience to successfully develop the CB Ireland operations management function. This role will report to the COO and work under the general supervision of the CB Ireland Country Director.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
- Work with global function to maintain and develop outsourcing and third party risk management framework to meet regulatory compliance
- Drive and embed strategies and policies into operational execution to effectively manage outsourcing and third party risk
- Ensure effective oversight, monitoring and controls across the outsourcing lifecycle phases and train responsible units
- Manage a robust maintenance process of required outsourcing documentation including regular review and uplifts of contracts and controls
- Support remediation and continuous simplification of outsourcing and third party risk management processes
- Act as liaison to various stakeholders (e.g. Product, Engineering, Business Operations) to ensure compliance with framework and processes
- Ensure that Coinbase operates in full compliance with applicable local regulatory requirements including but not limited to outsourcing, CPC.
- Drive more efficient execution across EMEA e-money and crypto operations
- Provide cross-border/pan European support
- Develop meaningful and insightful MIS to support day-to-day oversight and data driven decision making
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
- Proven track record in operations and/or operational oversight, including policies and procedures development and monitoring day-to-day activities
- Passion to be outstanding in everything you do
- Good understanding of how the various functions of a regulated financial services business operate (e.g. Compliance, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Audit, Outsourcing)
- Process orientated
- Clear verbal and written communicator
- Ability to have impact and influence with senior, peer & junior colleagues both regionally and globally
- Proven judgment to assess risk impact & address or escalate accordingly
- Happy to roll up sleeves
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization skills
- Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with regulators
Nice to haves:
- Previous experience working in a multinational / US-headquartered business
- Experience with retail-oriented payments, trading, or brokerage platforms
- Previous work experience or personal interest in crypto/blockchain space
