What you bring

  • Experience within a Payroll environment
  • You should have excellent project management, organizational skills and relationship building skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills: written and spoken
  • Writes and speaks fluent English
  • It's not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and raise potential incidents, risks and anticipated points of resistance.
  • Own payroll incidents end to end, ensuring a resolution and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Investigate cases that are more complex with complete ownership and creativity
  • Build relationships with other stakeholders highlighting the importance of incident impact
  • Consider ways to improve process including automation
  • Proactively flag and seek long-term solutions for outstanding issues and process blockers.
  • Own a database of RCAs and recommendations to reduce recurring incidents.
  • Work on the change management logs, be up to date and support the changes logged to ensure a positive customer-facing experience.
  • Provide period reporting to team members, department Leaders and the wider business on recent trends in Payroll incidents.

At first glance our salary bands seem quite wide - here is some context. At Remote we have international operations and a globally distributed workforce. We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $33,000 USD to $74,000 USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
