About the Role:
- As the Payroll Manager at Fetch, you will be responsible for the accurate end-to-end processing of both domestic and international payroll, managing approximately 900 employees. This role reports directly to the Head of Payroll and Equity.
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Supervise the payroll team, overseeing daily payroll operations.
- Oversee and finalize semi-monthly payroll cycles for US and Mexico locations, ensuring the accurate collection and processing of timesheets for employees in both regions
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries professionally and efficiently, with proficiency in Slack as a preferred communication tool.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of payroll principles and the ability to track, organize, analyze, and clearly report payroll data.
- Remain current on Federal, State, and Local payroll laws and regulations.
- Support the Accounting team with financial audit requests.
- Collaborate with HR on 401K and Workers' Compensation audit requests.
- Address payroll tax liabilities with state and federal agencies.
- Work cross-functionally with the Accounting team to resolve outstanding payroll reconciliations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase payroll accuracy and efficiency, including the automation of payroll tasks and reporting.
Skills we believe you need for this position:
- 5+ years of experience in processing multi-state and multi-country payroll.
- 2+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
- Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of payroll-related laws and regulations.
- In-depth understanding of various equity programs and awards, including RSUs.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or in a similar capacity.
- Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and best practices in payroll management.
- Proficiency with payroll software systems.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong leadership and teamwork capabilities.
- Preferred experience with the UKG HRIS system.
Compensation:
At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - 135,000. We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch’s growth.
