The Role:
Fetch is seeking a Director, Strategy & Operations (New and Emerging Businesses) to drive the growth and success of our newest offerings. This senior individual contributor role will act as a trusted partner to multiple General Managers (GMs), providing critical support in both strategy and execution.
As a key player in Fetch’s newest business areas, you will have a unique vantage point to understand our most promising growth initiatives. You will use this perspective to influence product strategy and ensure flawless execution of this strategy against time sensitive milestones. In this role, you'll help GMs focus on what matters most by “cutting through the noise” and making sure all strategy and operations decisions are data-driven and properly sequenced and prioritized.
Given the early-stage nature of these businesses, you will be hands-on with data collection, generating insights through analysis, and crafting high-impact recommendations for the GMs and the Fetch executive team.
Location:
There are no in office mandates, but would prefer this hire is based near one of our offices in NYC, Boston, or Chicago for on site collaboration. Our team is open to fully remote candidates across the United States so long as they're able to align to the team's working hours.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support GMs in Product Strategy: Act as a trusted advisor to GMs, helping “champion and challenge” key decisions; then once decisions are made, helping GMs prioritize and drive the action plans that promote growth and success for emerging businesses.
- Data-Driven Insights: Perform in-depth data collection and analysis to inform decision-making, framing trade-offs and providing actionable recommendations that balance risk and reward.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure focused execution of product strategies, driving focus on key milestones and KPIs while minimizing distractions and maximizing execution velocity
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish key metrics, and develop dashboards (as needed), ensuring a unified view of business performance.
- Executive-Level Reporting: Deliver clear, data-backed insights and recommendations to GMs and the Fetch executive team, supporting high-level decision-making.
Skills you will need for this position:
- 12+ years of experience in product management, consulting, or sales operations
- Strategic Problem-Solving: Ability to break down complex challenges, identify root causes, and develop actionable, high-impact solutions.
- Project Management: Familiarity with tech industry product development processes and lifecycle for consumer and enterprise businesses. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Execution Excellence: A “get things done” attitude with a proven track record of successfully driving initiatives from planning to execution.
- Financial Acumen: Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to evaluate business performance and guide strategic decisions.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python) to extract and interpret data for informed decision-making.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to leverage data insights to drive strategy and operations, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Process Optimization: Experience in streamlining processes using technology to improve efficiency and scalability. Balance engineering resources by seeking synergies across new businesses
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments, with the flexibility to pivot as business priorities evolve.
- Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to approach problems systematically and deliver well-rounded solutions.
Compensation:
- At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range is $206,000 - $275,000.We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch’s growth.
