The Deployment Solutions team for GFiber manages and operationalize the implementation of technical specifications, processes, best practices, and other technical elements of how our network is architectured, designed, and deployed.

Role Description

As our Program Manager, Multi-Unit (MxU) Deployment Solutions, you will be responsible for developing, supporting, and growing a variety of new and existing deployment and engineering models across our MxU footprint. In this role, you will also be a key cross functional partner to markets, regions, and central teams in the development of strategy and innovation as it pertains to the MxU environment. Your primary focus areas are developing and implementing technical solutions for construction methodology, engineering, and architecture solutions for MxU properties, as well as evaluating and improving overall MxU deployment processes and procedures.

In this role, you'll:

  • Develop and maintain the Multi-Unit (MxU) deployment roadmap.
  • Provide domain ownership and subject matter expertise for all elements of GFiber’s MxU deployment toolkit.
  • Direct scoping, stakeholder buy-in, development, and execution of programs, projects, and other change initiatives to achieve specific roadmap elements.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate areas for improvement within MxU engineering and deployment standards and specifications.
  • Evaluate areas of opportunity and implement consistent engineering and deployment practices across multiple city and regional deployment teams.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in the telecommunication or utility industry.
  • 6 years of experience in developing and managing project schedules, cost engineering, budgeting and forecasting, and reporting project status and costs.
  • 5 years of experience with direct engineering, construction, installation, and/or maintenance of MxU properties.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time.

It's preferred if you have:

  • 10 years of direct experience in the Multi-Unit (MxU) and Commercial/Enterprise network space.
  • Knowledge of microtrenching, wireless deployment, and/or the Internet Service Providers/Cable business.
  • Knowledge of MxU engineering, construction and maintenance practices.
  • Familiar with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and database management including AutoCAD, ESRI, and/or shape file functionality.
  • Experience with supporting multi-city operations teams and OSP deployments.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000 - $198,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
