Job Description
The Senior Manager of IT Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing the IT Operations organization, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT support services across all Autodoc locations. This role involves the unification and standardization of IT processes, optimization of service delivery, and enhancement of IT security and infrastructure management. The successful candidate will drive the transformation of IT operations into a functionally structured organization with global responsibilities, focusing on service excellence, cost efficiency, and technological innovation.
Job Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the IT Operations team, aligning with Autodoc’s global objectives and IT framework. Develop and implement strategies for consolidating IT services, enhancing efficiency, and improving service delivery standards.

Service Desk Management: Oversee the Service Desk function as the primary point of contact for IT support, ensuring effective multi-channel communication and high resolution rates for incidents and requests. Optimize the service desk location strategy to balance cost and service quality.

Identity and Access Management: Lead the centralized management of Hybrid Active Directory, Single Sign-On, and Identity Management & Security. Collaborate with the IT Security department to ensure robust security controls and a seamless user experience across applications.

Infrastructure and Network Management: Ensure the maintenance, capacity planning, and resilience of on-premise and rented server infrastructure and corporate networks. Work closely with the IT Security department to implement security policies and mitigate risks.

Warehouse IT Support: Coordinate on-site IT support for warehouse operations, managing IT equipment lifecycle and supporting continuous operations. Partner with warehouse management to select optimal hardware solutions.

IT-for-IT Process Automation: Manage and enhance IT process automation, utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence to streamline IT operations, improve efficiency, and reduce manual efforts.

Change and Problem Management: Implement and manage IT infrastructure change and problem management processes to minimize disruptions, improve service quality, and ensure continuous improvement.

Internal IT Process Excellence and Audit: Define, document, and ensure proper execution of internal IT processes, such as incident/change management, access provisioning, and user off- and on-boarding. Develop and maintain a rigorous audit framework to ensure compliance with internal standards, industry best practices and external audit requirements.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in IT operations or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional IT teams.

Proven track record of implementing IT operational improvements, standardizing processes, and leading organizational change.

Experience in managing IT for warehouse operations and familiarity with material handling equipment and specialized IT solutions.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with IT security departments and adhere to security policies and standards.

Solid understanding of IT service management principles and frameworks (e.g., ITIL).

Experience in leading IT transformation projects, with a focus on standardization and process improvement.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team (60+ employees)

Strong customer focus and drive for cross cultural collaboration and management.

Be persistent, resilient, and structured.

Have strong oral and written communication skills.

Fluency in written and spoken English.

German, Polish or Russian speaking is a plus
