Responsibilities:
A successful Business Analyst builds a strong technical knowledge of business needs and product requirements, demonstrates critical thinking and analytical skills and communicates effectively to peers, users and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will work first on projects that support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as we develop a next-generation system that directly impacts healthcare quality.
Ultimately, you will:
- Formulate and define system objectives and requirements through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and government requirements.
- Perform systems and data analysis, document system logic to identify gaps, recommend improvements and automation opportunities to expand system capabilities.
- Analyze data processing problems and recommend opportunities to implement and improve outcomes for upstream/downstream data partners.
- Serve as key point of contact for requirements questions with stakeholders and proactively articulate business impact of requirements decisions.
- Work with stakeholders and agile team members to develop and prioritize concise and testable epics, features, and user stories.
- Support product ideation and strategy development.
- Guide and advise less experienced Business Analysts.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years related experience
- Proven abilities to be collaborative and take initiative and be innovative
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
- Candidate must reside in the United States.?
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; residing in the United States
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in data analysis and data intelligence tools
- Federal Government contracting work experience.
- Experience work with the SAFe methodology.
eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by your manager.
Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
