About the job

We are seeking an individual with at least five years of sales experience to lead the Capital One sales team by serving as the strategic account manager. The appropriate candidate will have an existing understanding of Red Hat's complete portfolio and the important ecosystem partners who will be part of joint solutions for both customers. In addition, the strategic account manager must have an complete level of understanding of Red Hat Sales Cloud as our primary tool for customer relationship management and account planning. We need a sales person who is great at collaboration with other team members who will represent solution architecture, customer success, sales specialties, ecosystem partnerships, services sales and Red Hat product management teams. Being a key member of the team requires that this individual contribute ideas to the overall account strategy including the global account plan. Red Hat requires that this role play an important position in crafting the joint sales strategy with IBM as well as the leading hyper-scaler, two SI partners and three ISVs. In addition, it is this individual's responsibility to focus on two business pursuits around payments modernization and one other area during the current fiscal year. During the course of the year, it is important to build incremental pipeline in both the current and subsequent fiscal year. Line of business selling will be one of the most critical roles associated with this position.

  • Responsible for selling complete Red Hat solution (product and services) within assigned enterprise accounts
  • Sell the Red Hat value proposition to prospective customers within a highly competitive market
  • Manage complex sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Maintaining and developing new relationships within the assigned accounts
  • Excel within a fast paced, dynamic organization

The salary range for this position is $157,300 - $251,530. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

What you will bring

  • 7-10 years experience selling within the software space
