- Analyze supplier data by sector and geography and develop strategies to support Meta’s key suppliers in reducing their scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions and meeting their emissions reduction and renewable energy goals.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement tailored decarbonization strategies for Meta’s key suppliers, such as energy efficiency, low/no-carbon fuels and refrigerants, and renewable energy.
- Work directly with Meta’s Sourcing teams and key suppliers to support them in reducing their Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions and achieving their renewable energy goals.
- Deliver strategic insights to the Net Zero team and cross-functional stakeholders on solutions effectiveness.
- Represent Meta externally, as needed.
- Ability to travel (10%).
- Undergraduate degree in Environmental Science, Energy, Sustainability, Business or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in fields related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, and low/no-carbon fuels implementation in various geographies in the manufacturing sector or related field.
- Working knowledge of GHG accounting principles and methods.
- Experience playing coordinating/leadership role in building partnerships with internal stakeholders in a corporate environment.
- Technical knowledge of solutions to decarbonize Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions (e.g. energy efficiency, renewable energy, low/no-carbon fuels and refrigerants, low carbon materials).
- Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating with internal interdisciplinary teams as well as external stakeholders.
- Flexible, entrepreneurial spirit with experience influencing across an organization with indirect authority.
- A self starter, with a proven experience to diplomatically resolve issues through understanding conflicting inputs, achieving alignment, and proposing go-forward solutions.
- Proven understanding of global and sectoral sustainability initiatives.
- Effective communication skills
- Master’s degree in related field (e.g. MBA, Master’s in, Environmental Science, Energy, or Sustainability).
- Experience engaging suppliers directly in reducing Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
- Knowledge and experience working within electronics supply chains.
- Strong familiarity in industry and/or geography challenges and opportunities in energy efficiency, electrification, renewable energy, low/no-carbon fuels and refrigerants, low carbon materials.
Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
