Job Title: Part-time Controller

Schedule: At least 20 hrs per week

They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time Controller to join the team. In this role, you will manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, as well as ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with a bookkeeper, to enhance existing bookkeeping services and financial processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow management and ensure financial stability.
  • Establish robust processes and reporting frameworks to effectively monitor and control operational costs.
  • Lead budgeting processes, working closely with department heads to align financial plans with business objectives.
  • Provide strategic tax planning guidance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management and stakeholders regularly (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to drive business decisions and operational improvements.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the leadership team on financial matters, contributing to strategic planning and business development initiatives.
  • Oversee financial audits and ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Finance Controller Manager or similar senior financial management role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to mentor and direct a team.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing financial strategies, processes, and controls.
  • In-depth knowledge of cash flow management, budgeting, tax planning, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/CPA/ MBA in Finance or Accounting preferred
