Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and senior management team based on financial analysis and projections.
Financial Operations:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations and oversee the finance team.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and liquidity.
- Implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Investment and Funding:
- Evaluate capital investment proposals and manage relationships with investors and financial institutions.
- Lead fundraising efforts, including debt and equity financing.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate financial risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance.
Strategic Leadership:
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, providing insights and recommendations on business strategy and operations.
- Collaborate with other department heads to drive company-wide initiatives and goals.
- Participate in strategic decisions regarding expansion, partnerships, and mergers/acquisitions.
Team Development:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a high-growth startup environment or relevant industry.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts into strategic insights.
- Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Including cash flow modeling.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, capital allocation, and investor relations.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
