Compliance Officer – Remote - Canada
We are hiring at Aspire Software for a Compliance Officer to join our team!

The successful candidate will be based in Canada, working remotely.
What your day will look like:
- Lead compliance efforts to ensure adherence to HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, SOC-II, and other relevant regulations.
- Support the sales team by contributing to RFP responses, highlighting our compliance and security measures.
- Guide and train development teams in implementing best practices for secure coding and development.
- Facilitate the process of obtaining and maintaining certifications for various regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with legal and corporate policies.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to strategize and enhance security protocols.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer, Security Analyst, or similar role in the software industry, particularly within healthcare or government sectors.
- Strong understanding of compliance laws and regulations related to HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, SOC-II.
- Experience with secure software development lifecycle practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various departments to foster a compliance and security-focused culture.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.
