Department Overview:

The Dog Hut is a family owned business that has provided daycare, grooming and training for over 12 years. We are 15 minutes from campus and are located 1 mile south of the Beltline at the Hwy 51 exit to McFarland.

Schedule:

Shifts start at 6:30 am and are 3-6 hours long. The Dog Hut closes at 6 pm. No weekends!

We offer flexible hours.

Are you an early riser? We are in need of help for our 6:30, 7, or 8 am shift. This is our busiest time of the day and also the most fun time as the dogs are high-energy and fun to work with. Other shifts are available. 10-2, 12-4, 2-6.

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $14.00 to $14.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Must Love Dogs! Must be energetic and work with a group of dogs to provide a fun, safe and clean enviroment for dogs to play.

Duties include:

  • Supervising both big and small dog play groups
  • Interacting with the dogs by talking and playing with them
  • Writing fun and positive notes about the dogs for their parents
  • Documenting unusual behavior
  • Promptly cleaning up dog messes
  • Cleaning at end of shift
  • Must be able to stand for entire shift and work both inside and outside play areas
  • Can also include helping at our front desk with scheduling and payments for grooming and daycare

Qualifications:

Experience a plus but not required. We will train.

Must be able to stand for entire shift, able to manage large dogs and work both inside and outside play area.
