Position Summary/Job Duties:

Our family is looking for an English language and literacy tutor to work with our 5th grader (soon turning 11 year old). He is a smart kid but needs to build more confidence in reading, especially for speed and accuracy. The tutor would work 2-4 hours per week on a set schedule to do some reading out loud and other literacy improving exercises. The timing is flexible, but our preference would be for Monday, Tuesdays or Wednesdays after 3pm. We live in the University Heights neighborhood, close to West highschool. We assume the tutor would come to our house. Parking is easy, bus stops are near by. We would like to agree on a 4-6 month initial commitment and then will assess the need based on reading results.

Qualifications:

English, communication, teaching, voice studies and prior experience teaching/tutoring preferred.

Application Instructions:

Send an email to [email protected] telling briefly your qualifications and interest with contact information.
