About the Role

Our client specializing in creating documentary films is seeking a talented and experienced freelance music composer to create an original soundtrack for their upcoming film. This documentary explores a profound theme, and the music should reflect the essence and emotional depth of the project. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the director to craft a soul-stirring score that enhances the film's narrative and resonates with audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Compose and produce an original musical score for the documentary film, adhering to the director's creative vision and the provided musical references.
• Work closely with the director and production team to understand the film's themes, mood, and overall artistic direction.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions from the director to ensure the music aligns with the project's goals.
• Record and produce high-quality audio files of the composed music, ensuring optimal sound quality.
• Deliver the final score and all associated audio files within the agreed-upon timeline.

Requirements

• Proven experience in composing original music scores for films, documentaries, or similar projects.
• Strong understanding of music theory, orchestration, and various musical genres.
• Proficiency in using digital audio workstations (DAWs) and music production software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the director and production team.
• Ability to interpret and translate abstract concepts and emotions into musical compositions.
• Flexibility to incorporate feedback and make revisions as needed.
