About the Role

Our client, a company specialising in recreational scuba diving is seeking a skilled video editing expert for a long-term, remote project. The project involves transforming 3 hours of raw video footage into a 20-minute production film centered on scuba diving. The client is open to receiving offers and has not set a specific budget for this project. They aim to have the project delivered by the end of June.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and organise the provided 3 hours of raw video footage.
  • Collaborate with the client to understand their vision, objectives, and storytelling goals for the final production film.
  • Edit and trim the footage, selecting the most compelling shots and sequences.
  • Incorporate transitions, visual effects, colour grading, and other post-production techniques to enhance the visual appeal of the film.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-quality edited projects.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Expertise in various post-production techniques, including color grading, visual effects, and audio editing.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling principles, pacing, and narrative structure.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
