We are currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for the indirect spend who is looking for an exciting and challenging career. The role is responsible for setting strategic direction and executing on indirect service initiatives in global and regional (Europe) scale.
This role is located in Czech Republic with possibility of fully remote work.

What we’re looking for
Education: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) or comparable education, Certificate in Project management/procurement (desirable).
Experience: Min. 5 years in multi-country sourcing of indirect materials & services.
Collaboration Tools: Fluent English communication skills (min. B2), other European Languages welcomed. Microsoft platform: Teams, SharePoint, Project, Visio, Forms, etc. & SAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strategic category management in diverse indirect spend areas.
· Proven spend management track record.
- International company or global corporation work experience in matrix organization.
- Effective stakeholder and inter-personnel relationship management.
- Project management, extracting essential information out of complex projects and leads them; manage & executes complex projects.
- Spend control and cost savings/avoidance delivery.
· Contracting and contract management.
- Efficient approach, eliminating waste and mitigating gaps within the processes, use problem solving methodology through ABS system.
- Organizing own activities, multi-tasking and flexible to address immediate priorities and still manage deadlines with long-term projects and strategic initiatives.
· “Can do” mindset.
· Team leader & player capabilities.
- Must be able to work independently and remotely as the work environment is preferably home office.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
How you will thrive and create an impact
- Indirect Materials and Services category management, European or Global, as assigned.
- Responsibility for approximately USD 50 million of expenditure per year.
- Drive cost savings and spend reduction initiatives.
· Productivity & process improvements.
- Establish and maintain processes, structure, governance, and templates for sustainable management of the category area.
- Accountable for reporting and early escalations to Avantor leadership team.
- Proactively identifies productivity projects and drives to success by developing the sourcing strategies.
- Provides structured work outcomes, keep clear communication, and regularly share the project and process documentation.
