Field Sales Rep – Industrial Sales Description
Our client, a well-respected industrial manufacturing company, has a small yet mighty team of 30 in Grand Rapids, MI. You’ll have the best of both worlds – the stability of a large company with the culture and laid-back atmosphere of a close-knit team. You’ll be taking over sales from a team member who recently retired. He drove business development efforts and increased the sales of their newest product line with commercial equipment and racking manufacturers. Your earnings will be limitless, and you’ll be successful if you have an appreciation for developing rich and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. Additionally, because of the complexity of their solutions, they’re looking for someone who has an industrial sales background. Someone who is accustomed to working with both purchasing and engineering contacts. You’ll work on deals ranging from a couple of thousands of dollars to other customers who account for hundreds of thousands in profit each year. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and would enjoy the autonomy of setting your own agenda. Someone who prefers a leader who gives them the resources to be successful but the trust to get the job done without putting them in a pressure cooker-type environment. This is your chance to make a good living with good people around you. Given most travel is local, you should be back home with your family every night so if you’re looking for less overnight travel, this will be perfect!
Field Sales Rep – Industrial Sales Responsibilities

• Local day travel typically 2-3 days/week; Generally, no overnights are required
