Providence Health Plan is calling a Manager Actuarial Analytics, Commercial who will:
- Be responsible for producing pricing, forecasting and reserving deliverables
- Coach and set priorities for direct reports
- Collaborate across multiple departments to achieve organizational objectives
- Function as a technical resource and as a mentor to Actuarial Analysts in the Actuarial department
- Maintain an understanding of the changing health care and actuarial trends and how they impact the work of pricing and valuation
- Remain current on government regulation and guidance as well as analytic techniques and methodologies, data sources
- Manage Commercial pricing, forecast and reserving
- Build and maintain relationships with other leaders across the organization including Product, Finance, Underwriting, Regulatory, Pharmacy, and outside the organization (CMS, provider groups)

Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science or another related field of study
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation and/or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation
- 7+ years of healthcare actuarial analytics experience working with Medicare Advantage pricing and bid development
- Experience writing queries in SQL or another programming language
- Demonstrated experience applying project management skills in data-related and financial analysis projects
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science or another related field of study
- 7+ years of healthcare actuarial analytics experience working with Commercial Pricing or Valuation
- Experience certifying the Commercial Rate Filing
- Experience with Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid revenue methodologies
- Demonstrated experience with managing professional staff who work independently on tasks and projects
