As a Partner Engineering TLM (Team Lead Manager) you will be a part of Meta’s Reality Labs (RL) organization and work closely with engineering teams and external partners on product features, developer tools, and 3rd-party integrations.
Success in this role will require you to go technically deep, have product sense whilst also offering strategic direction and deep care for your reporting team. You will combine excellent technical, product, and business skills to make our partners and platforms successful.Partner Engineering Manager, Metaverse (Entertainment) Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Entertainment partner engineers by providing strategic guidance, mentorship and career development opportunities
- Scope design, and build new solutions utilizing understanding of Entertainment technologies
- Collaborate with external partners, internal Engineering and Product partners within Meta teams
- Identify and surface insights using metrics on product usage to increase adoption and provide new solutions that address the needs of our partners
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for the team, ensuring continuous improvement in partner engineering processes
- Represent the Partner Engineering team in executive-level meetings and communications, advocating for partner needs within Meta
- Use a broad range of technical and soft skills to build effective relationships with our internal and external partners. Utilize these skills to influence product roadmaps and partner integrations
- Help scale programs by contributing new features, bug fixes, documentation and other educational materials
- Mentor and share knowledge with peers, creating a cohesive atmosphere amongst the team
- 10+ years of experience in Partner Engineering, technical program management, or related roles
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading technical teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Experience communicating effectively, influencing, and collaborating across various levels of the organization
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects and partner relationships
- In-depth experience in various aspects of Media, Sports and Music Entertainment technologies
- Background working with streaming technologies (e.g. DASH, HLS, WebRTC)
- Experience shipping products requiring stringent runtime performance practices, such as complex mobile or 3D applications or games
- Background working on real-time gameplay mechanics or games systems
- Involved in developing immersive VR games or experiences.
- Shipped at least one game using Unity, Unreal, or other leading game engine
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
210.000 $/year to 285.000 $/year + bonus + equity + benefits
