The Red Hat Sales team is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to guide the growth and development of Red Hat’s business in Malaysia Telco sectors. In this role, you will create possibilities, solve problems and establish trusted relationships with our customers. You will collaborate with the Sales, Customer Success, and Partner Ecosystem teams to discover the customer’s business and technical objectives and help them invest in the right solutions from the Red Hat and Partner Ecosystem portfolio. You’ll be expected to handle a range of customer conversations, from introductory discussions on our solutions to mapping architectural and technical details specific to the customer’s environment. As the Account Solution Architect, you will coordinate the efforts of other Red Hat technical staff to design solutions and ensure customer adoption and satisfaction. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills, as you'll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat. Finally, you’ll want to have a passion for open source, and a balance of technical expertise with business acumen.
What you will do:
Based on customer engagements, perform a discovery of needs, design the best solutions, and deliver the Red Hat value proposition
Deliver successful customer solutions workshops to shape customer use cases and architect design decisions
Define high-quality proofs of concepts and pilots with the specialist team to increase customer confidence in our offerings
Serve as a trusted advisor for the customer, building long-lasting relationships within our key accounts and maintaining knowledge of the technical architecture within the accounts
Demonstrate expertise and vision in practices by speaking at industry conferences
What you will bring:
8+ years of experience working as a presales engineer selling a variety of software and infrastructure solutions with customers in various industries and markets
Solid knowledge of enterprise solutions within the different IT architecture layers
Good knowledge of cloud architectures and ability to guide a journey to the cloud roadmap discussion with customers
Experience with the latest cloud technologies like Docker containers and Kubernetes and virtualization technologies like KVM and VMware
Knowledge of middleware and application development technologies like microservices, service-oriented architecture (SOA), API management
Knowledge of the latest technology practices for implementing DevOps
Record of developing relationships at technical, business, and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations
Ability to present and lead technical and business discussions at the senior level of customer organizations
