This is a remote position out of the Tampa, FL area.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of physical and virtual servers remotely
- Continuously monitor server performance remotely to ensure minimal downtime and optimal functionality
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data and systems against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction
- Provide technical support for server-related issues. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking problems
- Implement and manage backup, storage, and disaster recovery strategies
- Ensure that all servers are updated with the latest software and security patches
- Collaborate remotely with IT staff to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
- Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, scripts, and IT processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5-10 experience as a Server Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments
- Experience with virtualization technologies like AVD, VMWare, and Hyper-V
- Familiarity with network administration and cloud technologies
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automating server management tasks
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision
