Department Overview:
The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as "the heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907. Since 1928, when the doors to Memorial Union opened, the Wisconsin Union has served as the living room of the UW-Madison campus. The Union connects students, faculty, staff, members, and visitors through shared cultural, social, and recreational events and experiences.
Anticipated Hours Per Week
10Schedule:
Monday through Friday between 7am and 3pm. Occational Saturdays.
Schedule is flexible but must work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
Salary/Wage Range:
Hourly $15.00 to $15.00Number Of Positions
1Position Summary/Job Duties:
- Overseeing and maintaining the hiring process of the Custodial department
- Contacting, interviewing and tracking multiple applicants
- Conducting staff orientations
- Scheduling
- Paperwork; filing and organizing
- Attendance audits (sign-in sheets, punch verifications, When to Work audit, attendance excel document, strike notifications)
- Making and answering phone calls (if needed)
- Maintain organization of administrative paper files and desktop files
Qualifications:
- Basic Microsoft Word & Excel proficiency
- Organizing and detail oriented
- Pleasant and friendly demeanor, self-motivated, and capable of working without supervision
- 1 year commitment
