Our client is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to streamline their financial operations and ensure accurate financial management across their retail and e-commerce channels. Our client views this role as essential for maintaining precise financial records, managing daily transactions, and ensuring compliance with Canadian tax regulations while supporting the company's growth and operational efficiency.
The Impact you’ll make
Daily Financial Management- Reconcile daily sales transactions and deposits
- Process credit card reconciliations
- Post transactions including discounts and inventory adjustments
- Handle purchase order invoicing
- Generate financial reports
- Process journal entries
- Manage bill payments and check writing
- Maintain digital and physical files
- Manage Canadian tax requirements (GST and provincial)
- Handle payroll processing
- Maintain loan/amortization schedules
- Prepare year-end documentation for auditing
- Operate QuickBooks Online efficiently
- Work with integrated software systems
- Maintain accurate digital records
- Generate required financial reports
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
- Proven experience with QuickBooks Online
- Strong knowledge of Canadian tax regulations including GST and provincial taxes
- Canadian payroll processing experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- WFH Set-Up:
- Computer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.
- Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
- Headset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam
- Back-up computer and internet connection
- Quiet, dedicated workspace at home

Work Setup:
- Remote position
- Must have a reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
- Required to provide own computer with Intel Core i5 or something similar or higher operating system
- Tools provided: Access to:

- Lightspeed (order-taking software)
- Katana (manufacturing software)
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Payworks (payroll system)
- Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 1 PM CST (Central Standard Time)
- 20 hours a week
- $7 per hour
