Job Description
As the dedicated Accountant, you’ll be at the financial helm of this thriving e-commerce and manufacturing business. You’ll work with cutting-edge platforms like Xero, Shopify, and Amazon, managing complex financial operations across multiple business entities. Your role will be crucial in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, and providing valuable insights to drive business growth. Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliations for accurate financial records and timely order fulfillment
- Manage complex journal entries, including import invoices with duties, taxes, and freight
- Prepare monthly financial reports (age debtors, age creditors, PL statements)
- Generate split PLs for multiple retail stores and overall company performance
- Handle BAS (Australian GST) preparation and submission
- Manage payroll processes efficiently and accurately
- Ensure seamless integration between e-commerce platforms and Xero accounting system
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business decision-making
- Optimize financial processes to support global expansion efforts
Requirements
- CPA qualification preferred
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software
- Experience in e-commerce accounting, particularly with Shopify and Amazon platforms
- Understanding of Australian tax system and BAS preparation (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Excellent time management skills to meet daily, monthly, and quarterly deadlines
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting
- Adaptability to work with multiple business entities and complex financial structures
- Willingness to align with Australian business hours while working remotely
