About the Role
We are seeking a freelance 3D artist for a gaming company. As a 3D Artist, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and realistic 3D models and visual effects for our upcoming open-world street racing game.
The role involves:
- Creating high-quality 3D models and textures using software such as ZBrush, 3D Studio, Blender, Substance Painter, and Adobe or Affinity Suite.
- Working closely with the team to develop and implement visual concepts and designs.
- Producing assets that adhere to a strict specification in terms of both polycount and texture usage.
- Testing assets on the target platform to ensure PBR materials are correctly implemented.
- Ensuring timely delivery of assets meeting quality standards.
Requirements
Experience:
- Proven experience as a 3D Artist or similar role.
- Proficiency in software such as ZBrush, 3DS Max, Blender, Houdini, Substance Painter, and Adobe or Affinity Suite.
Advantageous:
- Good understanding of lighting, rigging, animation, and rendering techniques.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as MaxScript, Python, LUA, and C#.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience working remotely and using collaboration tools like Slack, Google Meet, and Zoom.
