Job Description for Legal Administrative Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Answer and screen incoming calls, scheduling consultations for the attorney
- Make outgoing calls to clients for follow-up meeting scheduling and other communications
- Manage and maintain the attorney’s calendar efficiently
- Conduct client follow-ups, including sending reminders for document submissions
- Assist with general administrative tasks to support the law firm’s operations
Requirements:
- Experience in legal administrative support or related field
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficiency in calendar management and scheduling software
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Familiarity with legal terminology and processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite or equivalent software
Scope:
- Handle all incoming and outgoing client communications
- Manage attorney’s schedule and appointments
- Ensure timely follow-ups and reminders for client actions
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards
- Adapt to and utilize firm-specific software and systems
- Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm Central with an hour unpaid break
