Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough testing of software features, meticulously replicating and documenting customer-reported issues in the test environment
  • Manage and prioritize Jira tickets, serving as a crucial link between customer needs and development team actions
  • Perform comprehensive retesting of resolved issues, ensuring quality and reliability before customer release
  • Collaborate with developers to clearly communicate complex replication steps for intricate software issues
  • Execute simple yet critical application fixes and updates to reference files, maintaining system integrity
  • Contribute valuable insights to the creation of specifications for new functionality, helping shape the future of the software
  • Craft clear, user-friendly test documentation and release notes, enhancing both internal processes and customer understanding
  • Assist in scheduling and managing ongoing development tickets, ensuring smooth workflow and timely issue resolution

Requirements

  • Strong background in technical administration, quality assurance, or a related field in software development
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and best practices in quality assurance
  • Proficiency with issue tracking systems like Jira, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tickets effectively
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for identifying and documenting software issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of translating technical concepts for various audiences
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow and create complex, step-by-step instructions
  • Demonstrated capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems and technologies
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills, able to work independently in a remote setting
  • Passion for technology and genuine interest in the fleet management industry
  • Flexibility to occasionally adjust working hours to align with the Australian-based technical team when necessary
