Job Title: Electrical Quantity Estimator
Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Brisbane time)

Job Summary:
The Client is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Quantity Estimator to convert residential house plans into accurate electrical pick lists. The role involves utilizing the Groundplan software and creating detailed spreadsheets that will be used to order and verify electrical components. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of residential electrical systems, proficiency in relevant software tools, and strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
● Plan Interpretation: Read and interpret residential electrical plans and floor plans using the Groundplan software.
● Pick List Preparation: Develop detailed pick lists containing the quantity of electrical items (e.g., circuit breakers, light fixtures, power points, light switches) for each residential project.
● Cross-Checking Purchase Orders: Verify pick lists against purchase orders from Client Builders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and that all items are accounted for.
● Communication with Suppliers: Send completed pick lists to partner suppliers for picking and packing, as well as to the warehouse team for verification.
● Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of all pick lists and communication with suppliers.
● Adaptability: Learn and adapt to new software tools and company processes to enhance workflow efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:
● Educational Background:
○ Preferred but not mandatory: Degree in Architecture or Electrical Engineering.

● Technical Skills:
○ Proficiency in reading and interpreting residential electrical plans and floor plans.
○ Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUP, or similar software tools. Familiarity with Groundplan software is an advantage.

● Software Proficiency:
○ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting.

● Organizational Skills:
○ Strong ability to schedule and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met.

● Communication Skills:
○ Proficient in spoken and written English.
○ Competent in email management and maintaining professional communication with suppliers and team members.

● Attention to Detail:
○ Exceptional attention to detail when creating pick lists and verifying materials to ensure all specifications and quantities are accurate.
○ Ability to read material specifications or product data sheets to match products to requirements.

● Problem-Solving Skills:
○ Ability to assess project requirements and resolve discrepancies in purchase orders and material specifications.

● Adaptability:
○ Willingness to learn new software tools and adapt to the company’s specific processes and workflows.

Additional Information:
● Location: Remote work with adherence to Brisbane time (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
● Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
