Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM California Time for a total of 40 hours per week, with a 1-hour unpaid breakJob Brief We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe. The Medical Scribe is a vital member of the medical staff, who not only assists physicians with paperwork but also operates their EHR system. A Medical Scribe’s responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and performing clerical tasks like retrieving lab reports or charting doctor’s appointments, operating electronic health records, and anticipating the needs of the physician to ensure efficiency in a clinical setting. Ultimately, you are responsible for recording doctors’ conversations with their patients and assisting them in completing paperwork after each visit. Interpreting from Spanish to English may sometimes be required. You’ll be required to document well-written summaries of what was discussed during the consultation or treatment session as well as all diagnoses and treatment plans made.
Responsibilities
This will be a singular role hiring for 3 heads with different tasks per person as shown below:
- Medical Assistant/Scribe 1: Scribe: requires him to transcribe everything that is said during a doctor's visit and document everything appropriately in eCW including HPI, physical examination findings, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plan.
- Medical Assistant/Scribe 2: Scheduling for Specialists: this would require him to compile all relevant clinical information for patients who are referred to our specialists and schedule appointments for them, ensuring timely access to care.
- Medical Assistant/Scribe 3: Cozeva: this position focuses on ensuring we meet HEDIS measures for our patients, calling them in to have mammograms, colonoscopies, annual PE, bone densities, etc.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Medical Scribe or similar role
- Ability to expertly document patient care and transcribe patient appointments
- Assure the accuracy of all documentation and records
- Advanced computer skills to transcribe and record information across our network
- Keep the privacy of all patient information that you learn throughout your duties
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good bedside manner and interpersonal skills to communicate with patients effectively
- An agent who is bilingual (English and Spanish)
